ABOUT THE SHOW: HOW WE BUILD THE LAUGHS
Welcome to Comedy on Collins—where we don’t just run comedy shows, we raise them like the kind of kids who get banned from Chuck E. Cheese for fighting the animatronics. Our shows are untamed, a little unhinged, and always pushing the boundaries (and sometimes the fire code). If a PTA meeting and a house party had a baby, it’d be our Friday night.
THE FRAMEWORK (Or: How to Raise a Comedy Monster)
The Host (A.K.A. Parental Advisory Explicit Content):
Every night, your MC is less “babysitter,” more “drunk uncle at Thanksgiving”—here to hype you up, talk a little mess, and make sure everyone’s behaving badly (but legally). They’ll roast you, toast you, and might just steal your girl.
The Lineup: Siblings With Warrants:
- Opener: The first one on stage and the first one you’d call for bail money. Sets the mood, breaks the ice, and definitely can’t go back to Applebee’s.
- Middle Acts: The wildcards—equal parts therapy and public indecency. They’re not afraid to say what you’re all thinking (and will probably text you memes later).
- Headliner: The unfiltered big sibling. Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt, and turned it into a punchline. The reason we buy extra liability insurance.
The Wild Card: Audience Participation (Consent Strongly Advised):
It’s like family game night, but with more alcohol and fewer rules. Yell out a safe word and you might become part of the act—don’t worry, we promise to buy you a drink if we embarrass you.
The Vibe: House Rules? Never Heard of Her:
Judgment-free zone. Come single, come taken, come “it’s complicated.” All we require is you’re down to laugh and maybe break at least one of the seven deadly sins before midnight.
